She was 81 and a native of East Baton Rouge Parish. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Monday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Justin Kauchak, O.P. Interment in Ponchatoula Cemetery. Survived by a son and daughter-in- law, John Jr. and Irene Paintner Arretteig, Ponchatoula; a brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Viola Achord, Greenwell Springs; two granddaughters, Summer and Carol Jean Arretteig, both of Ponchatoula; a grandson, John L. Arretteig, Ponchatoula; two brothers-in-law, James and Jake Arretteig, both of Ponchatoula; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, John B. Arretteig Sr.; a granddaughter, Debbie Arretteig; parents, Norman James and Nancy Lillian Hanna Achord; two sisters, Martha Martin and Emma Street; and two brothers, James and Percy Lee Achord. She was a native of Munich, Germany. Survivors include her husband, John B. Arretteig Jr., Ponchatoula; two daughters, Summer Faith Arretteig, Ponchatoula, and Carol Jean Arretteig, Natchitoches; one son, John L. Arretteig, Ponchatoula; four sisters, Johnna Bell, Lubbock, Texas, Maria Luis Evans, North Brookfield, Mass., Johnna Perez, Spain, and Ottelia Hannig, Germany; and one brother, Karl Heinz Paintner, Germany. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Arretteig; and her parents, Otto and Margarete Keil Paintner. Visitation will be at Harry McKneely and Son, Ponchatoula, Monday from 8 until 9:45 a.m. The Rev. Justin Kauchak will conduct a Mass of Christian burial at 10 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in Ponchatoula Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial to St. Joseph Catholic Church, P.O.
