Survivors include his father, Charles D. Arthur Jr. of Amite; and his sister, Deni Ard-Rigdon of Husser. As per his request, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North Oaks Hospital. Cards may be sent to his sister at P.O. Box 38, Husser LA 70442. She was 90, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Amite. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 11:30 a.m. until religious services at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Mitch Harris. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pall-bearers will be her nephews. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews; a very dear friend, who looked after her, Elaine A. Wells Corkern; and a sister-in-law, Eloise Sheets of North Carolina. Preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie J. Arthur; parents, Ive and Alice Breland Strickland; five brothers, Clovie, Wilburn, Clement, Orris and Elton Strickland; and three sisters, Vesta S. Schilling, Merle S. Robin and Enid Ontee Strickland. She graduated from Amite High School in Amite.
