She was 65. Katherine enjoyed quilting in her free time, but truly enjoyed just being "mom." Visitation at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Monday, Oct. 10, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Graveside service at Zion Hill Baptist Cemetery, Independence, at 11 a.m. Tuesday. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kelly Artieta, and Frank and Vernie Artieta; stepgrandson, James Abbott; sister, Goldie Kinchen; three brothers, George, John and Jerry Felker; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hilbourne Wilton and Margaret Brown Felker; and a brother, H.W.
