Paul was born on Thursday, April 3, 1924, in Hammond, Louisiana. He was retired from the United States Air Force, and also from the Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs as Service Officer for Tangipahoa Parish. Surviving are wife of 61 years, Daisy Triche Arvello; daughter and son-in-law, Paula Arvello Joiner and Jerry A. Joiner; daughter, Debra "Debbie" Arvello; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Teresa Arvello; sons, Daniel Arvello and Matthew "Angel" Arvello; grandson, David Merriman; brother, Lawrence Arvello; and sisters, Mary Miller, Carrie Castrogiovanni and Lena Letellier. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Brazil Arvello and Lena Tamborella Arvello; and brothers, Salvador "Sam" Arvello, Joseph Arvello and Brazil "Jay" Arvello Jr. Friends will be received Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. at Harry McKneely & Son, Hammond. Services will be held at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond, LA, Monday, at 11 a.m.. with visitation at the church from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. preceding the funeral Mass. Interment will follow in the Rose Memorial Park Mausoleum, Hammond, Louisiana.
