She was 65 and a resident and native of Zachary. Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Zachary, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. Visiting at Zachary United Meth-odist Church from 8:30 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Greg Davis. Burial in Hopewell Memorial Cemetery, Crosby, Miss. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Lev David Ashley Sr., Zachary; three daughters, Sharon Mizell, Folsom, Suzonne Ashley, Hammond, and Rhonda Dillon, London; two sons, Lev David Ashley Jr. and Rohn Ashley, both of Zachary; two brothers, Ronnie Sylvester, New Orleans, and Maurice Sylvester Jr., Slidell; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Helen Sylvester. Pallbearers will be Doug Barton, Hoby Dillon, Spencer Mizell, John Mizell, Ronnie Sylvester and Maurice Sylvester. She was a member of United Methodist Women's Club.
