ASMUSSEN, NARCILLE V.
A retired fifth-grade teacher at North Highland Elementary, she passed away 
at 7 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, 2011, at her home in Baton Rouge. She was 94 and 
a graduate of LSU. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson 
Highway, on Monday, Aug. 15, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the 
funeral home on Tuesday, Aug. 16, from 8 a.m. until service at 10:30 a.m., 
conducted by the Rev. Jack O'Dell. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of 
Memory. She is survived by a daughter, Suzanne A. Lloyd and husband 
Malcolm, of Hammond; a son, Walter "Tim" Asmussen and wife Stephanie, of 
Zachary; grandchildren, Babette Lloyd Roberts, Cherise Lloyd Tatro, Jason 
Joseph Lloyd, Jennifer Asmussen Broome and Jill Asmussen Hodges; and great- 
grandchildren, Bennet and Brent Roberts, Remington and Dashell Tatro, and 
Emma Grace and William Thomas Hodges. She was preceded in death by her 
husband, Thomas W. Asmussen; parents, Walter and Elma Voorhies; and a 
sister, Virgile Wright. She lived a full life and has now gone to join her
