He was born April 21, 1949, in Morton, Miss., son of Zelma Marie Goodson Aycock Sharp and the late Darrel Hudson Aycock. He was a member of the Krewe of Pericles, Krewe of Erin, Habitat Restore Board, the Ponchatoula Chamber of Commerce board of directors and First Baptist Church in Ponchatoula. He was also a U.S. Air Force veteran. Surviving are his wife, Michelle LeGros Aycock; four sons, Shane Stander, Jason Allen Aycock, Bryan Andrew Aycock and Zachary Schuler; stepfather, Richard Sharp; and three brothers, Larry, Ronnie and Mike Aycock. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Tony and Steve Aycock. Friends will be received at First Baptist Church in Ponchatoula on Thursday, June 28, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., and after 8 a.m. on Friday until service at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Jake Roudkovski officiating. Interment will follow in the Carter Cemetery, Springfield.
