She is survived by one son, Michael Jones of Kenner; one daughter, Cassandra Johnson of Okinawa, Japan; four sisters, Alma L. Rosette and Mary Alexander, both of Houston, Francis Johnson and Bobbie Jackson, both of Amite; two brothers, Nathaniel Toney of Washington, D.C., and Herman Toney Jr. of Chicago; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Ruby Toney; husband, Willie L. Ayers; sister, Audrey Coleman; and two brothers, Leroy Toney and Joe Louis Toney. Visitation will be Sunday at Richardson Funeral Home, Amite, from 3 to 7 p.m. The Rev. Wardell Dyson Jr. will conduct the funeral Monday at Refuge Temple Ministries, Amite, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Leonard Chapel Cemetery, Amite. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Daily Star on: 11/28/2000 AYERS, TED Ponchatoula - Ted Ayers, 69, died Nov. 15, 2000, at Baptist Hospital, New Orleans. He was a native of Red Hill, N.C., a truck driver and a U. S. military veteran. Survivors include a sister, Shirley Zorn, Miami, and a brother, Luther C. Ayers Jr. His parents, Luther and Naoma McCourry Ayers; and a sister, Wanda Stienfurth, preceded him in death. The Rev.
