"TRACIE" Tracine joined our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, after an unsuccessful battle with pneumonia. She was surrounded by her loving husband of 26 years, Anthony "Tony" Bacile; her daughters, Linda D. Bevill of Wascom, TX, and Alice M. Murphy of Baton Rouge, LA; her son, Cory Simmons of Pineville, LA; her loving granddaughter and special caregiver, Traci M. Murphy; and her loving pastor in Christ, Father Jack Nutter of St. Louis King of France. Tracine joins her parents, William F. Harwell and Pearl Harwell Westmoreland; her brothers, Elton J. Harwell and Cline Harwell; her sisters, Thelma H. Seibel and Jewel "Julie" Edwards; and her son, Michael Wayne Diez. She leaves behind to celebrate her journey to Christ her beloved sister, Ruby Grenfell and her deceased husband, Billy of Huntington Beach, CA; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Nick Bacile Jr., Nace Bacile, Charles Bacile (Gwen), Anita Bacile, wife of deceased, Johnny Bacile of Metarie, LA, Camille Bacille of Independence, LA, and Congetta Polito of Independence, LA; nieces and nephews, Lisa, Mike, Isabel, Sophia, and Michael Yarborough of New Orleans, LA, Elta Rahim (Rasheed) of Las Vegas, NV, Gloria Leigh (Jim) of Phoenix, AZ, Aleisha Grenfell of Huntington Beach, CA, and Michael and Dewayne Bacile. Acting as pallbearers her grandsons, Craig J. Bacile, Lance M. Bacile, Jason W. Murphy, Justin H. Simmons, and Marshal F. Simmons will escort her to her resting place and bid her that final goodbye. Tracine had a special love for her friend Wanda at CVS RX on Florida and Sherwood Forest and most of all her special friend in Christ, Kevin Lewis and family and her friend in Christ, John Matthew Sumich and all of his staff at Oak Point Markets. Tracine cherished her great granddaughters, Brittany Bacile, Annabelle Bacile, and Roxanne Bacile. The family wishes to express a heartfelt "Thank you" to the ICU Staff at Ochsner Medical Center. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home 9595 Florida Blvd. on Thursday, April 26, 2012, from 5 PM until 9 PM and will resume on Friday, April 27, 2012, at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church at 9 AM until funeral mass at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. He was 49 and a native and resident of Independence. He is survived by a sister, Carmella Bacile, Independence; six brothers, Nick Bacile, Hammond, John Bacile, Metairie, Anthony Bacile, Baton Rouge, Johnny Polito, Independence, Nace Bacile, Denham Springs, and Charlie Bacile, Baton Rouge; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Nick and Mary Mitria Bacile. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday, with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation in the funeral home chapel from 8 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. Thursday.
