He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Jane Todd; one stepson, George Matherson Todd, of the U.S. Marine Corps; one sister, Mrs. J. W. White; two nieces, Mrs. Harry F. Royal and Mrs. Henry Allred; one uncle, Morgan G. Bailey of Folsom; two aunts, Mrs. A. O. Joiner of Hammond and Mrs. C. L. He received numerous national awards and was well recognized for his teachings in the insurance profession. He died Monday morning, Jan. 21, 2002, at Veterans Affairs G.V. "Sonny" Montgomery Medical Center, Jackson, Miss. He was 70, a native of Baton Rouge and a former resident of Mississippi and Hammond, where he was a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University. Visitation at Mark Seepe Funeral Home, Jackson, from noon until funeral services at 2 p.m. Thursday. Burial in Brandon Cemetery, Brandon, Miss. Late in his life, he became an ordained minister and relocated to Mexico, where he organized two churches. He was a husband, father and businessman who had served in the U.S. Marine Corps and, most of all, was a friend to many. Survived by his wife, Lynne Overby Bailey; daughters, Sheree Puckett of Carriere, Miss., and Brenda Schexnayder of Baton Rouge; sons, William M.
