He was born in Ponchatoula, a graduate of Louisiana State University and a World War II veteran. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; two sons, Kenneth of Dublin, Ohio, and David of Atlanta; and three grandchildren. His body was donated to Vanderbilt University Medical School. He was 41, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Fluker, LA. Eric is survived by his wife, Ellen T. Bain, Fluker; mother, Virginia Long Bain, Carrollton, GA; brother, Bruce Bain and wife Joyce, Haslet, TX; sister, Dr. Kathryn Bain and husband Walter Edgar McGee, Carrollton, GA; 2 nephews, Matthew Walter McGee, Carrollton, GA & Joshua Robert McGee, Carrollton, GA; Eric is the son-in-law of Dorothy Theall; brother-in-law of June Valeton, Robert Theall, Steven Theall, Wayne Theall & Gary Theall; also numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at First Baptist Church, Hammond, 401 W.
