She was 90, a native of Jonesboro and longtime resident of Hammond. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and after 8 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by Dr. Lonnie Wascom. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery. Survived by a daughter, Mary Sue Bales Edwards, Metairie; a grandson, Wesley Brent Edwards, New Orleans; and two great- grandchildren, Wesley David Parker Edwards and Lucy Bales Edwards, both of New Orleans. Preceded in death by her husband, James Wesley "Bucket" Bales; and parents, Warren Edward and Josephine Pearce Bush. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Philon Cox, Walker; two sons and a daughter-in- law, Robert Bales and Ted and Margie Bales, all of Denham Springs; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
