BALLAM, PHILIP W.
Funeral services for Capt. Philip W. Ballam, 82, retired steamboat Captain,
who succumbed last Saturday at his home, were held Sunday at St. Pauls
Lutheran church in Ponchatoula.  Interment was in Ponchatoula cemetery.  He
is survived by his wife; five daughters, Mrs. L. E. Carruth, Sr., Mrs. 
E. L. Tatum, Mrs. R. B. Goldsby, Mrs. J. Walton Reeses of Hammond; two 
sisters, Mrs. Frank Horn of New Orleans and Mrs. H. Caldwell; one brother,
Charrington Ballam of New Orleans.
