BANTA, BURTON JOSEPH, III 
Albany - Burton Joseph Banta III, 42, died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at North
Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was a native of Baton Rouge, an
electrician and member of Local 995 of Baton Rouge. He is survived by his
wife, Cynthia Swinyer Banta of Albany; one daughter, Emily Lynn Banta of
Albany; one son, Burton Joseph Banta IV of Albany; his mother, Mary Schulte
Banta of Baptist; one sister, Patricia Banta Williams of Livingston; and
one brother, George L. Banta of Zachary. He was preceded in death by his
father, Burton Joseph Banta Jr.; and his grandparents, Burton J. and Edith
Briggs Banta and George and Anna Belle Schulte. Visitation will be today at
Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 to 10 p.m. and Thursday
from 8 a.m. until Warren Fortenberry conducts the funeral at 1 p.m. Burial
will be in Resthaven Garden of Memories.
