BAPTIST, LAURA IVERSTINE BERTEAU
Laura Iverstine Berteau Baptist, 83, of Hammond, died Tuesday, March 3,
2009 in Landmark Nursing Center.  She was born in Natalbany, daughter of
the late Luke and Frances Stafford Iverstine. She was a retired Chief
District Clerk for Bellsouth.  Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law,
Robert and Lu McIntyre Berteau; 4 sisters, Bessie Magro, Annie Poillion,
Mary Lee Stang, Linda King; and 3 brothers, Dave, Emile, and Luke
Iverstine, Jr.  She is preceded in death by her first husband, Kevlin
Berteau; second husband, William Baptist; 2 sisters, Josephine Puma and
Tina Profita.  Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral
Home, Hammond on Saturday, March 7, 2009 from 9 A.M., until the 10:30 a.m.
Funeral Home Chapel Service with Fr. Randy M. Cuevas, S.T.L. officiating.
Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Hammond, LA. In lieu of
flowers, family request memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St.
