He was preceded in death by his wife of 24 years, Mary Theresa Lacara Notariano Bardwell; his parents, Eddie Eugene "Gene" and Nancy Lizima Morse Bardwell; and siblings, Earl Bardwell, Georgiana Bardwell Goldate, Charles "C.B." Bardwell and Merlin Bardwell. He is survived by two sons and their spouses, John Stephen and Claudette Bardwell and Shane West and Sara Bardwell, all of Hammond; five stepchildren and their spouses, Joseph Charles "J.C." and Sandy Notariano, Louis Raymond and Theresa Notariano, Annette Notariano and Leonard LeBell, Karen Notariano and Randy Colona, and Carlos Duane and Kim Notariano; and 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, all of Hammond.
