BARNEY, MATTHEW JOSEPH
Born April 17, 2010, in Hammond, he died Sunday, May 30, 2010, at St. 
Elizabeth Hospital, Gonzales. Visiting at New River Baptist Church, St. 
Amant, Friday, June 4, from 11 a.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., 
conducted by the Rev. Wayne Talley. Interment in the church cemetery. 
Survived by his father and mother, Shane M. and Brittany Perret Barney; two 
sisters, Bailey D. Perret and Destiney A. Barney, both of St. Amant; and 
identical twin brother, Michael Paul Barney, all of St. Amant. Also 
survived by his maternal grandparents, Jason P. and Carol A. Dixon, St. 
Amant; maternal great-grandparents, Dallas L. and Patsy Dixon, St. Amant; 
maternal great-grandmothers, Velda M. Dixon, Albany, and Ella R. Bourgeois, 
French Settlement; maternal great-great-grandmother, Gertrude Rogers, 
Sorrento; paternal great-grandparents, Roy and Juanita Crum, Walker; 
paternal grandmother, Dusty R. Barney, Port Vincent; and a host of loving 
aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by his maternal great-
grandfather, Joseph C. "Black Joe" Duplessis; paternal grandfather, Stephen 
J. Crotwell; paternal great-grandparents, W.C. and Marie Crotwell; and 
loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be Joshua C. Crotwell, 
Bryan and Tyler Dixon and Chase Cronk. In lieu of flowers, memorial 
donations may be made to the family, c/o Carol Dixon, 48183 Crawfish Road,
