BARZARE, PHILIP HAROLD
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Philip Harold 
Barzare announces his passing Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at Our Lady of the 
Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 71, born March 2, 1939. Mass of 
Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Pine 
Prairie on Wednesday, Sept. 15, at 3 p.m. Rite of Committal will follow in 
the Ortego Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Broussard, celebrant. Philip will 
be lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him, especially his 
beloved wife of 51 years, Betty Jane Barzare, the former Betty Jane Morein, 
of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Elizabeth Shea and husband Tim, of Baton 
Rouge, and Phyllis Crayton and husband Ben, of Ponchatoula; a brother, 
Terrell Barzare, of Benton; and five grandchildren, Brittany and Lauren 
Shea and Catherine, Justin and Jeremy Crayton. He now rests in heaven with 
his parents, Philip and Olive Barzare. The family requests visiting hours 
to be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Wednesday, Sept. 
15, from 9 a.m. until service Wednesday afternoon. Family and friends may
