BATTARD, ELISE HOOVER 
A resident and native of Ponchatoula, she died Thursday, July 30, 1998, at
North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. She was 84. Visitation was at Harry
McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday.
Visiting at the funeral home chapel, 8 a.m. until religious services at 
10 a.m. Saturday. Interment in Mitchell Cemetery. Survived by a son, Robert
Battard, Port Charlotte, Fla.; a daughter, Betty Battard Beyl, Ponchatoula;
a sister, Jane Sharp, Ponchatoula; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grand-
children. Preceded in death by parents, Henry P. and Emma Perrin Hoover; 10
brothers and sisters.
