BAUERS, C. KENNETH
C. Kenneth Bauers, 83, of Hammond, died Thursday, December 7, 2006, at
Landmark Nursing Center.  He was born March 12, 1923, in Marienville,
Pennsylvania, son of the late Charles Burton and Christine Kuhl Bauers. Mr.
Bauers was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.  Surviving are his wife
Patricia Wittie Bauers and two daughters, Julie Mercante and Kristie Serio;
four sons, Gary, Rodney, Lowell and Michael Bauers; a sister Jean Bauers
Martz; 19 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in
death by two brothers, Edward and Morris Bauers.  Friends will be received
Monday, December 11, 2006, at Harry McKneely & Son in Hammond from 8:30 AM
until the 10 AM Funeral Home Chapel Service, officiated by Rev. William
Eubanks. Interment will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of
flowers, family request memorials to First Christian Church, 405 E. Charles
