"RAY" A retired operator at Kaiser Aluminum with 27 years of service and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 8 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, 1997, at The Guest House. He was 89 and a native of Ponchatoula. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Wednesday, celebrated by the Rev. Donald Blanchard. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by wife, Mildred Siefert Bayhi, Baton Rouge; a daughter, Sandra Bayhi Auck, Baton Rouge; a sister, Mildred Hudson, Baton Rouge; three brothers, A.A. Bayhi, Baton Rouge, Walter Bayhi, Metairie, and Cyril Paul Bayhi, Addis; two grandchildren, Joseph Auck, Houston, and April Ann Sargent, Austin; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by two brothers, Merlin and Karl Bayhi; and two sisters, Ora Altazin and Augusta DeCuir.
