Amite - Kenyada L. Bean, 19, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003. She is survived by a sister, Kaprece Wilson of Amite; a brother, Christopher Bean of Amite; and her parents, Bernard and Lillie Mae Bean of Amite. She was born Sept. 6, 1913, in Olho, Miss., daughter of the late Elba Todd and Mary Elizabeth Morris Collins. She and her late husband, Richard L. Bean, were charter members of Immanuel Baptist Church of Hammond. She is survived by two sons, Richard L. Bean IV of Hammond and Ralph Collins Bean of LaPlace; a daughter, Dell Bean Andrews of Hammond; six grandchildren, Richie Bean V, Ryan Bean, Lauren Bean Callender, Collins Bean, Brett Andrews and Jodie Andrews; and three great-grandchildren, Katelyn Bean, Kasey Callender and Logan Callender. She was preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers. Friends will be received at the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 11 a.m. until funeral service at noon, conducted by the Rev. John Campbell. She is survived by two daughters, Shondra Broussard and husband Terry, and Shelly Jenks and husband David; a son, Michael Whittington and wife Shelley; three sisters, Margaret Ann Amar and husband Darrell Sr., Paulette Felder and Mary Ellen Scherer; six grandchildren, Sara Savoie and husband Tim, Hunter Jenks and wife Hannah, Dylan Jenks and Kate, Cole and William Whittington; four great-grandchildren, Blake Savoie and Louden, Aulden and Zanden Jenks; many nieces and nephews; and members of the George Bean family. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Bean; parents, Paul and Mary Margaret Maurin; brother-in-law, Robert Felder Sr.; and nephew, Jamie Scherer. Pallbearers will be Terry Broussard, David, Hunter and Dylan Jenks, Darrell Amar Jr. and Robert Felder Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Cole and William Whittington.
