W. Ponchatoula -- E.W. Beard, 76, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was a native of Robert and a member of Full Faith Christian Fellowship Church of Ponchatoula. Survivors include his wife, Thelma Pines Beard of Ponchatoula; three daughters, Barbara Fields, Janice Taylor and Gwen Bryant, all of Houston; two sons, Ray Dear and Edward Beard, both of Ponchatoula; four sisters, Helen Beard, Catherine Beard, Leona Rose Jones and Alma Lee Beard; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Golda Beard; his brothers, Joseph Beard and Homer Beard; his sister, Stella Joseph; and one son, Gregory Beard. Visitation will be Friday at Full Faith Christian Fellowship Church, Ponchatoula, from 6 to 9 p.m. The Rev.
