"POP" A resident of Hammond, he died on Oct. 28, 2009, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was 71 and a native of Sorrento. Funeral service at Third Zion Baptist Church, Maurepas, at noon Saturday, Nov. 7, conducted by the Rev. Calvin Brown. Interment in Whitehall Cemetery. He leaves to cherish his wife, Rose M. Beaureau, Hammond; four sons; sister, Alice F. Payton, Sorrento; two brothers Ronald and Ralph Beaureau; six grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was 79. Visiting at Second Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, Sorrento, from 10 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Freddie Allen. Interment in Community Cemetery, Brittany. She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Alice Faye Payton, Sorrento; three sons, Ronald Beaureau, Baton Rouge, Clyde Beaureau, Hammond, and Ralph Beaureau, Sorrento; a son-in-law, Lawrence Payton Sr.; four daughters-in-law, Juanita Beaureau, Rose Armstrong, Eloise Bennett and Delores Beaureau; two sisters, Charlotte Well and Ann Clark, both of Ponchatoula; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grand- children; goddaughter, Joyce Beaureau; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her husbands, Sidney Richard and Andrew Beaureau; granddaughter, Darlene Payton; two sisters, two brothers, mother and father. She was a member of Second Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as an usher.
