BECKHAM, FRANCES SINEA ANN
p. 11, col. 4:  Frances Sinea Ann Beckham, 85, died of old age Wednesday,
Oct 15th in Tangipahoa. Funeral Wednesday in the African Methodist
Episcopal Church. She was born in April 1845 in Hines County, GA on the
plantation of Dr. Jesse George; moved with the George family to TX as a
small child; at age 10, she was brought to Tangipahoa and presented to Dr.
and Mrs. Joseph Travis George as a nurse for his large family. Dr. George
was a Methodist minister. While with this family, she aided Southern
soldiers in training at Camp Moore.
