BEHLER, CARMELITE VERDON
Carmelite Verdon Behler, 87, of Ponchatoula, died Sept. 1, 2000, at North
Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son
Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, Tuesday from 6 until 10 p.m. with a 7 p.m. vigil
prayer service and on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. The Dominican
Fathers will conduct the funeral at St. Joseph Catholic CHurch in
Ponchatoula on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Sand Hill
Cemetery. Her husband was the late Paul L. Behler, and she is survived by
three daughters, Delores Callahan, Shirley Jackson, Myrtle B. Marino; four
sons, Robert Sidney Behler, Beauregard Coy Behler, Ronald John Behler and
Paul A. Behler, and others.
