BEMISS, MARY PEGGY BUECHE 
In loving memory of our mother, Mary Peggy Bueche Bemiss, a resident of
Baton Rouge and a native of Bueche, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006,
at her daughter's residence in League City, Texas. She was retired from the
West Baton Rouge Parish school system with 20 years of service, was a
former West Baton Rouge Parish justice of the peace and helped sponsor
Little League Baseball in West Baton Rouge Parish. She was past president
and vice president of the PTA at Devall Elementary School, Chamberlain. She
is survived by her children, Tommy L. Smith Jr. of Hammond, Neysa D. Smith
of League City, and Darryl D. Smith of Hammond; sisters and a brother,
Dorothy Bueche Stevens of Baton Rouge, Rita Bueche Bohne of Bueche, J.C.
Bueche Jr. of Bueche and Bobbie Bueche Smith of Baton Rouge; and six
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Clairville
Sr. and Rena David Bueche. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825
Government St., on Tuesday, Jan. 31, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at Our
Lady of Mercy Catholic Church from 9 a.m. Wednesday until Mass of Christian
Burial at 10 a.m. Entombment in Chenal Cemetery, Chenal. Pallbearers will
be Robert Aertker III, Brennon Braud, Brett Smith, Timothy Smith Jr.,
Steven Paul Gloeckner and Dewayne Braud. She was a member of Our Lady of
Mercy Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made
to the American Diabetes Association, 2644 S. Sherwood Forest Blvd., Suite
122, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
