BENDER, MARGARET MARY

Funeral services for Margaret Mary Bender, 76, were at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 
26, from Geisler Funeral Home. Burial was in Amite Cemetery at Amite. Mrs. 
Bender died Thursday, Feb. 24, in North Oaks Medical center. She was a 
cosmetician, a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II, and a native of 
Homestead, Pa. Survivors are her husband, Victor J. Bender; a son, Vic Bender; 
three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

BENDER, VICTOR JOHN
Victor John Bender, a native of Homestead, Pa., died Thursday, June 17,
2004, at Kentwood Manor Nursing Home, Kentwood.  He was retired having
served as a mechanic with the city of Miami Beach. He was also a U.S.
Marine Corps veteran having served in World War II.  He is survived by one
son, Victor M. Bender of Hammond; one sister, Florence Komar of West
Mifflin, Pa.; one brother, Alvin Bender LaCrecenta, Calif.; three grand-
children and four great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his
wife, Margaret Komar Bender; two sisters, Helen Arandash and Loretta
Sakolosky; one brother, Anthony Bender; and his parents, John and Barbara
Sudaite Bender.  Visitation will be Saturday at Geisler Funeral Home,
Hammond, from 9 a.m. until the funeral at 10. Burial will follow at the
Amite Cemetery.
