Evelyn turned her trials into triumphs! She became not only a loving daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, friend, World War II veteran, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and co-worker, but also a child of God. She was not what one would call "A Southern Lady," butrather "A Classy Lady." Although not always right, she was true to her beliefs, her conscience and much more, those she loved. Those who met her, loved her and we who knew her, learned from her actions, words, wisdom and plain old common sense. To know her was to love and admire her, for her accomplishments are too many to list. She touched the lives of all she knew and those she left behind will always feel the void of not being with her. We will always be grateful for having shared such a small, infinite space in time with a truly wonderful, loving human being. Those she loved never doubted her love and concern for their well-being. May God bless and keep you, Evelyn, forever in the folds of His arms. May you enjoy your family and friends who departed this great earth before you. We love you and miss you, but we are ever so grateful to have had you in our lives. On Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005, the world cried while the Heavens were blessed. -- Your family, friends, co-workers and children of God. ************************************************************************* Obituary published in The Hammond Daily Star on: 3/28/2007 BENNETT, ART Art Bennett died on Saturday, March 24, 2007 in Pasadena, FL.
