Levi was born April 27, 1922, to James Robert Bennett and Margaret Etta Browning Bennett. He was a lifelong resident of Central. Levi was a retired electrical first line supervisor from ExxonMobil, having worked there for 33 years. He served in the Coast Guard during World War II, was a 50-year member of Central Masonic Lodge 442 and a member of Zoar Baptist Church. Levi is survived by Elaine Hudson Bennett, his wife of 60 years. He is also survived by two daughters, Terry L. Bennett, and Kathy B. Shockley and husband Bruce; and two beloved granddaughters, Carole Lynn Shockley and Rachael Elaine Shockley.
