She was 84. Visitation at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Clinton, on Friday, April 21, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., the Rev. Bob Townsend officiating. Interment in Masonic Cemetery, Clinton. She is survived by a daughter, Connie Watkins of Greenwell Springs; a son, Adam A. Berger Jr. and wife Molly of Ethel; sister, Mary Irene Wagner of Hammond; four grandchildren, Cheryl Watkins, Adam Berger III, Elizabeth Berger Merculief and Matthew Berger; and five great-grandchildren, Alexis and Evan Merculief, and Haley, Schuyler and Avery Berger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam A. Berger; parents, Raymond and Bertha Overmier; two brothers, Harvey and Clarence Overmier; and sister, Hazel Neuenschwander. SIMONEAUX Myrtle S. Simoneaux Berger, 90 years old of Independence, La., and formerly of Harahan, passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at her residence. She was born on Sunday, April 16, 1922, in Pointe A La Hache. Surviving are her daughter, Sarchie S. Landry of Loranger; two sons, Rea Carl Simoneaux and Keith Simoneaux and wife Norma; youngest daughter, Wanda Jean S. Carline and husband Joseph all of Independence; sister, Yettie S. Rivet; grand- children, Lori Manno, Craig Carline, Laci Howes, Minette Baham, Stacey Ross, Lindi Landry, Nicole Carline, Kristen Summers, and Jennifer Simoneaux; and 14 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Olivia D. and Louis E. Saucier; first husband and father of her children, Bruno J. Simoneaux; second husband, Lloyd J. Berger; three brothers and three sisters. Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, from 8:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
