BERNOS, JAMES JULES
Mr. James Jules Bernos, 88 years old of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away 
Saturday, September 28, 2013, at Heritage Health Care. He was born on 
Tuesday, July 7, 1925, in New Orleans, son of the late Harold Raphael and 
Cora Pearl Tell Bernos. He was a US Navy WWII veteran. Surviving are his 
sons & daughters-in-law, James and Virginia Ferro Bernos, Donald and Laura 
Dawsey Bernos, 6 grandchildren and their spouses, David and Christine 
Bernos, Gina and Troy Baglio, Jason Bernos, Brian and Brandi Bernos, James 
and Robin Ber7os Jr., Brandon and Brittany Bernos, 10 great-grandchildren, 
Victoria, Madelyn, Dalton, Grant, Madison,, Benjamin, Julianna, Cecelia, 
Brianna and Hope. He is preceded in death by his wife, Cecelia Pettingill 
Bernos. Friends will be received on Saturday, October 5, 2013 from 10:00 am 
until 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ponchatoula. A Mass of 
Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Saturday, 
October 5, 2013 at 11:00 am, celebrated by Rev. Paul McDuffie. Interment 
will follow in the Biloxi National Cemetery at a later date. Contributions 
may be made to St Joseph Catholic Church, P.O. Box 368, Ponchatoula, LA
