BESSYE, JAMES JR.
A resident of Port Allen, he died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, at age 72.
Visiting at Grant's Westside Funeral Services, Port Allen, on Friday, Feb.
5, from noon to 4 p.m. Service at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Port Allen,
on Saturday, Feb. 6, at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Michael Byrd. Burial
in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. He is survived by a daughter, Vanessa,
of Port Allen; three sons, Augustus and and Lester, both of Baton Rouge,
and Joe, of Independence; sister, Doris Kado Byrd; and a host of other
relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, daughter and
grandsons.
