Obituary appearing in the Hammond Daily Star, June 25, 1998

     Annie Mae Bethley, 78, died Saturday, June 20, 1998, in
Hammond.

     She was a native of Magnolia, Miss.

     Survivors include a daughter, Inez Jenkins, Los Angeles;
son, Henry Hammond, Hammond; three sisters, Lula Freeman,
Rosa Tanner, Hammond, Beulah Salf, Miami; and four grand-
children.

     Visitation will be at N.A. James Funeral Home, Hammond,
Friday from 1 to 4 p.m.  The Rev. Samuel Brown will conduct
the funeral Friday at 8 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.  Dis-
missal will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, and burial will be in Green-
lawn Cemetery.
