HENRY T., JR. PRAIRIEVILLE - The Rev. Henry T. Beyer Jr., 88, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, at Guest House of Baton Rouge. He was a native of New Orleans, former resident of Pearl River, pastor, evangelist and church starter for Church of the Nazarene and an active lieutenant with the Salvation Army. Survivors include his wife, Armellia S. Beyer, Prairieville; children, Henry T. III and James M. Beyer, both of Houston, William E. Beyer, Baton Rouge, Phillip P. Beyer, Nashville, Tenn., and David L. Beyer, Ponchatoula; stepchildren, Louis W. King, White Pine, Tenn., Vernon D. King, Belize, and Dorothy K. Collins, Denham Springs; siblings, the Rev. Theodore L. Beyer and Amelia "Lovey" Duggan, Pearl River; 23 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Brothers and sisters Gustave and Joseph Beyer, Henrietta "Annie" Cevera, Rose Peralta, Sabrina Geraci, Genesta "Ducy" Johnston and Theresa Rosengarten preceded him in death. Visitation will be at Honaker Funeral Home, Slidell, tonight from 7 to 10 and Saturday from 11 a.m. until the funeral at 2 p.m. The Rev. Thomas V. Allen will conduct the service, and burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
