BIGNAR, CATHERINE RITA MONISTERE 
A resident and native of Hammond, she died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at North
Oaks Medical Center. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home,
Hammond, from 8 a.m. to 9:40 a.m. Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial at
Holy Ghost Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Entombment in Greenlawn
Mausoleum, Hammond. Survived by two daughters, Doris Flanagan, Hammond, and
Emily Bankston, Baptist; a son, Herman H. Bignar Jr., Hammond; three
sisters, Anna Belle Silessi, Mandeville, and Mary Ann Silessi and Beatrice
Nicolosi, both of Hammond; 12 grandchildren, 24 great- grandchildren and 19
great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Herman H.
Bignar Sr.; a daughter, Belle Owens; an infant son, Philip Bignar; three
sisters, Lena Alfonso, Lucy Tadora and Rose Mary Compton; three brothers,
Chris, Albert and Salvadore Warren Monistere; and parents, Philip and Bell
Danna Monistere.

BIGNAR, DANA LEAH 
A resident of Baton Rouge, she died Monday, June 20, 2005, at her home. She
was 33 and a native of Hammond. Graveside service at Rose Memorial Park
Cemetery, Hammond, at 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 24, conducted by the Rev.
Wallace Gainey. She is survived by two brothers, Chip Bignar, Prairieville,
and Jimmy Bignar, St. Amant; and a sister, Donna B. Campbell, Hammond.
Preceded in death by her parents, Albert L. and Mary Tallo Bignar. Harry
McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge of arrangements.
