BIRDSONG, JOHN E. 
Olive Branch, Miss. - John E. Birdsong, 71, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, at
his home. He was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church, Olive Branch,
Miss., a retired supervisor for Memphis Housing Authority and a Korean War
veteran. He received a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart medal while in the
Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Annie Laura Birdsong; one daughter,
Letitia Redden of Nesbit, Miss.; three sons, Mike Birdsong of Nashville,
Tenn.; Ken Birdsong of Cordova, Tenn.; and Paul Birdsong of Richmond, Va.;
and nine grandchildren. The funeral will be Friday at Forest Hill East
Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Forest Hill East Cemetery.
