BITTOLA, ETHEL LOUISE TYCER
Ethel Louise Tycer Bittola, 77 years old of Hammond, Louisiana, died
Saturday, January 23, 2010, in North Oaks Medical Center.  She was born on
Saturday, March 26, 1932, in Amite, Louisiana, daughter of the late Robert
William Tycer and Florence Estelle Holton Tycer.  Mrs. Bittola was a
hairdresser for most of her life, owned "Mr. Pizza" and worked for Dr.
Daily.  Surviving are daughter, Deborah Bittola; son, Robert Russell;
grandchild, Chelsea Russell; brother, Herndon Tycer; and a sister, Grace M.
Willoughby.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James
Joseph Bittola; an infant son, James Keith Bittola; a sister, Wilkie
Bennett; and two brothers, Hillery and Herbert Tycer.  Mrs. Bittola's
pallbearers are scheduled to be: David Atkins, Stevie Notriano, Joseph P.
Davis, Ray Penton, Timmy Lowry, and Dwayne Tycer.  Friends will be received
Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in
Hammond, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Thursday, January 28th after 
8 a.m. until services.  Services will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel,
Thursday, January 28, 2010, at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Jim Lancaster
officiating.  Interment will follow in the Rose Memorial Park Cemetery,
Hammond, Louisiana 70401.  An on-line guest book is available at

BITTOLA, JAMES JOSEPH
James Joseph Bittola, 74 years old of Hammond, died Monday, November 5,
2007 in North Oaks Medical Center. He was born on Monday, November 28, 1932
in Hammond, son of the late Russell and Estelle Goudeau Bittola.  Mr.
Bittola was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict.  Surviving are
his wife, Ethel Tycer Bittola and daughter, Deborah Bittola; 2 sisters,
Rosemary Quinn and Patricia Baiamonte.  He is preceded in death by an
infant son, James Keith Bittola; brother, Russell Bittola Jr. and sister,
Doris Lamonica.  Friends will be received Wednesday, November 7, 2007 from
6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday, November 8, 2007 from 8:00 a.m.
until the religious service begins at 10:30 a.m. at Harry McKneely & Son
Funeral Home in Hammond.  Interment will follow in the Rose Memorial Park
