Born on Feb. 3, 1912, she graduated from Annie Eastman High School in Hammond and married Joseph J. Biundo Sr. in 1934. Ann and Joe were involved in many civic, cultural, religious and professional organizations. She was the founding president of the Hammond chapter of AARP and was on the board of directors of Community State Bank, which became Hancock Bank, and she sat on its Tangipahoa Parish Advisory Board. She is survived by her daughter, Geraldine "Geri" Bourgeois and her husband, Dr. Melvin Bourgeois, Morgan City; sons, Dr. Joseph J. Biundo Jr. and his wife, Mary, New Orleans, and Bruce V. Biundo and his wife, Ann, Houston; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Biundo Sr.; parents, brothers and three sisters. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Road, Hammond, on Friday, April 1, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and again on Saturday, April 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Funeral Mass will be at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Independence at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
