BLAKEMORE, MARIETTA
Ponchatoula -- Marietta "Marty" Blakemore, a former resident of Albany,
died Oct. 2, 2004, at Charity Hospital, New Orleans.  A native of New York,
she was a unionized carpenter.  She is survived by her mother Sarah
Almodovar of Kenner; and her sister, Rosa Marcello of Brooklyn, N.Y.  She
was preceded in death by her grandmother, Rafaela Oliveras; her father,
Leonard Blakemore; and her grandfather, Miguel Almodovar.  An informal wake
service will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the home of Sharon Wells,
29826 South Cafe Line Road, Albany.  United Funeral Services, New Orleans,
is in charge.
