She was 86 and a native of Amite. She attended LSU, was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority and served as a pediatric nursing assistant for 25 years for Dr. Gloria Weir. Anna's love for children and babies was a hallmark of her personality. Blanchard; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Dianne Patureau; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol Ann and Thomas Smith and Susan and Jay Hogue; four grand-children, Jason Patureau, Susanna and Lauren Smith and Julie Hogue; and great-grandson, Christopher Patureau. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Carroll Barnette and Margaret Ann Dykes; and brother, Benjamin C.
