BLANKENSHIP, BARBARA ANN
Barbara Ann Blankenship, 76 years old of Saint Rose, Louisiana, passed away 
Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at Ochsner Medical Center, Jefferson Hwy.  She 
was born on Sunday, March 31, 1935, in Summit, MS.  Surviving are daughter 
& son-in-law, Nelda and Gary Howell, son & daughter-in-law, Terry and Pam 
Martin, son & daughter-in-law, Ralph and Cindy Martin, son & daughter-in-
law, Curtis and Lilian Blankenship, son & daughter-in-law, Teddy Wayne and 
Sue Blankenship, brother & sister-in-law, Lamar and Mary Melton, grand-
children 14, great-grandchildren, 23.  She is preceded in death by husband, 
Charles Blankenship, son, Carl Ray Blankenship.  Friends will be received 
Friday, September 2, 2011 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Harry McKneely & 
Son Hammond.  Services will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Hammond, 
Friday, at 11:00 am, with officiating.  Interment will follow in the Howell

BLANKENSHIP, CHARLES W. 
A native of Talladega, Ala., he died at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007, at
his home in Wilmer. He was 65. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite,
from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. until religious service at 
10 a.m. Wednesday. Interment in Howell Cemetery, Natalbany. Survived by his
wife, Barbara Travis Blankenship, of Wilmer; daughter, Nelda Howell and
husband, Gary, of Tickfaw; four sons, Curtis Blankenship and wife Lillian,
ofWilmer, Teddy Wayne Blankenship and wife Sue, of Ponchatoula, Terry Lamar
Martin and wife Pam, of St. Rose, and Ralph Eugene Martin and wife Cindy,
of Kiln, Miss.; 14 grandchildren, Stephanie Blankenship, LaGrant
Blankenship, Kristi Gonzales, Irene Joiner, John Perry Jr., Brandon Perry,
Gary Daniel Howell, Felicia Chavers, Tammy Dennis, Tina Martin, Shy Julian,
Teresa Esteve, Joey Montelone and Casey Lanier; 13 great-grandchildren,
Jena Julian, David Dennis III, Terri Lynn Dennis, Mandi Modica, John David
Perry III, Johnny Esteve, Tessa Jones, Joshua Esteve, Caitlyn Esteve, David
Daniel Howell, John Chavers, Nicole Chavers and Chance Chavers; mother,
Ester Lee King Blankenship, of Alabama; sister, Sandra Favre, of Lafitte;
and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his son, Carl Ray
Blankenship; father, Charles LaGrant Blankenship; sister, Mary Elaine
