BLANTON, CATHLEEN SUSAN RAGAN
Cathleen "Susie" Susan Ragan Blanton, 48 years old of Shelby, North 
Carolina, passed away Monday, April 16, 2012, in Ponchatoula. She was born 
on Monday, March 23, 1964, in Hammond.  Susie loved her family and friends. 
She loved to garden and take care of her flowers. She was a great cook and 
an avid sports fan.  Surviving are her husband, Robert Blanton; mother, 
Vera Hebert Ragan; 2 daughters, Savanna Ragan and Kayla Ragan; stepson, 
Kevin Blanton; 2 step-grandsons, Korey Blanton and Hunter Blanton; sisters 
and brothers-in-law, Cheryl and Russell Hoover, Sheila Ragan, and Mary and 
Russell Johnson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jody and Sherrie Ragan, 
Jeffrey and Dana Ragan; sister-in-law, Madelyn Ragan; sister-in-law, Linda 
Phillips; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Tommy and Linda Blanton; and 
numerous nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her father, 
Stanley "Hickey" Ragan; and brother, Stanley Paul Ragan.  Friends will be 
received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, Wednesday, 
April 18, 2012, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue Thursday, 
April 19, 2012, from 8 a.m. until the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. in the 
funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Ponchatoula Cemetery.
