BLESSEY, RITA DIAZ
Rita Diaz Blessey, beloved mother and grandmother was called to Heaven 
June 19, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Earl 
B. Blessey, Sr. A native of Biloxi, MS., she moved to Hammond in 2004. A 
devout Catholic, she was devoted to Saint Joseph and The Blessed Mother. 
She is survived by her children, earl ÒBunÓ Blessey, Jr. (Sue) of Ocean 
Springs, MS., Martha Gerety (Richard) of Upland, CA. and Chip Blessey 
(Elsa) of Hammond, LA. RitaÕs grandchildren in Hammond are Jennifer 
Blessey, Rita Parish and Elsa Rodriguez. Her great-grandchildren in Hammond 
are Brett Bittola, Amanda Bittola, Marcelo Rodriguez and David Earl Parish. 
She will be sadly missed. Relatives and friends of the family are invited 
to attend the visitation at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Biloxi, 
MS on Monday, June 23, 2013, beginning at 9:30 a.m. until the mass at 
11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Biloxi City Cemetery. Condolences
