A devoted husband, father and grandfather known as "Blue," and a retired electrician with Stupp Corp. with 31 years of service, he died Sunday evening Jan. 16, 2000, at his home. He was 72, a native of Hammond and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. He was a U.S. Army Transportation Corps (Merchant Marine) veteran of World War II. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and after 8 a.m. Thursday. Religious services at the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Hank Henagan. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Evelyn Stewart Blue, Prairieville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene Blue and George Haynes, Baton Rouge, and Marjorie Blue and Ronnie Ford, Walker; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Alvin Lamar Jr. and Christine Curran Blue, Slidell, Thomas D. and Shirley E. Blue, Zachary, and Allen O. Blue, Baton Rouge; 12 grandchildren, John Darling Haynes, George Darren Haynes, Sommer Blue Haynes, Thomas Dudley Blue III, Shannon B. Raborn, Ronnie Lee Ford Jr., Racey Lamar Ford, Jason Dwayne Ford, Christopher David Ford, Corey Blue Ford, Dusty Blue Ford and Winter Winona Ford; and six great-grand- children, Deven and Dylan Raborn, Haley Ford, Racey Ford Jr., Eric Ford and Victoria Ford; and a devoted canine friend, Bear. Preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Dudley and Nettie Zeigel Blue; and a granddaughter, Stacey Blue. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearer is Racey Lamar Ford Sr. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in the Hammond Daily Star on: 6/13/2010 BLUE, SHARON LOUISE WILSON Sharon Louise Wilson Blue, 63, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2010 at her daughterıs residence in Hammond surrounded by her family. She was a native of Salina, Kansas and grew up in Abilene, Kansas where she graduated from Abilene High School. Sharon retired from GE after 17 1/2 years of dedicated service and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She leaves behind her daughter, Alicia Porter of Hammond; two sons, Garry Porter and wife Christine of Ponchatoula, Scott Porter and wife Dori of Loranger, along with six grandchildren, Haley, Hunter, Abby, Bryson, Victoria and Jason. Sharon is also survived by her father, BJ Wilson and his wife Pauline of Abilene, Kansas; three brothers, Rick Wilson and wife Laura of Abilene, Kansas, Daniel Wilson of Nevada, David Wilson of Norfolk, Virginia, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Delores Jean Franklin Wilson. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Carlson-Becker Funeral Home, 208 W.4th St., Solomon, Kansas on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until funeral services at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Prairie Mound Cemetery.
