BOGIL, RUTH ELENE HORNING
Slidell - Ruth "Mammaw" Elene Horning Bogil, 78, died Thursday, Oct. 16,
2003, at the home of her daughter. She was a native of Wakita, Okla., and
deputy assessor with the St. Tammany Parish Assessor's Office. She is
survived by her son, John C. Bogil of New Orleans; two daughters, Patricia
Macaluso of Hammond and Jana Lay of Slidell; one sister, Deannie Gibbons of
Wakita, Okla.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her husband, George Bogil; and her sister, Jean
Horning Sassaman. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. at Honaker Funeral
Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. W., Slidell, Sunday with a memorial service at 8. 
A private family interment will take place in Wakita, Okla., at a later
date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Memorial Hospice of
Slidell or the American Cancer Society.
