She retired from LSU, where she was office manager of the LSU Union Bookstore. She is survived by a sister, Carol Hewitt, Baton Rouge; two daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Michael Lamy, Huntsville, Ala., and Carol and Richard Rome, Longwood, Fla.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Judee Boies and Michael and Debby Boies, both of Baton Rouge; 11 grandchildren, Stephanie Mishoe, Summerville, S.C., David Lamy, Huntsville, Elaine Carney, Marietta, Ga., Amy Boies and Barry Boies, both of Baton Rouge, Clifton Fikes, Houston, Sarah Purcell Boies, Baton Rouge, Cory Grover, Augusta, Ga., Jacqueline Rome, Lisa Rome and Ashley Rome, all of Longwood; and four great-grand- children, Charlotte Lamy, Kaitlyn Fikes, Cole Fikes and Camille Fikes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orlow Boies; parents, Charles and Grace Bacon Purcell; two brothers, William Purcell and Alexander Purcell; a sister, Margery Rivers; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Purcell. She was an alumna of Alpha Chi Omega, past president of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 38, past member of Chapter of EBR 8/40, Chapter 704, past Matron of Naomi 38 and Relief Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a founding member of St. Patrick's Episcopal Church in Zachary and St. Augustine's Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge. She was a member of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge and Episcopal Church Women. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., from 5 p.m. until an Eastern Star service at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6. Visiting at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 7. Funeral service at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, Perkins Road, at 10 a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Victor Sheldon.
