BOLLIN, BETTY THOMAS
p. 1, col. 3:  Mrs. Lawrence Bollin, 30, of Hammond, died Sunday. The
former Betty Thomas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Thomas; graduated from
Hammond High School in 1920. Funeral Monday; interment in Greenlawn
Cemetery, Hammond. Survived by her husband and parents; four sisters, Miss
Mildred Thomas of Hammond, Mrs. Amanda Thomas Davidson of Hammond, Mrs.
Fred Dusel of Calif., Mrs. Marvin Faulk of Crowley; four brothers, Geo. of
McComb, MS, Jeff of Jackson, TN, Joe of St. Joseph, LA and Otis of St.
Petersburg, FL.

BOLLIN, MARY JANE
Death claimed one of Hammond's oldest citizens Friday, June 2, when Mrs. 
Mary Jane Bollin died at the home of her son, Laurence Bollin.  She was the
daughter of the late William and Margaret Elliott of Bogalusa.  She was
married to Severin Bollin in 1894 and had been a resident of Hammond for 
the past 46 years.  Mr. Bollin owned and operated a grocery store in 
Hammond prior to his death in 1927.  This past February 14th, Mrs. Bolin
celebrated her 81st birthday.  She was the mother of four children, three
of whom are living:  Mrs. Donna McGowan, Laurence Bollin of Hammond, and
Howard Bollin of Ponchatoula.  She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 3
great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Esther Hunt of Covington; and a 
number of nieces and nephews.  Funeral services were held Saturday from the
Thomas Funeral Home with interment in Greenlawn cemetery.
