Joe Bonfiglio Jr., 80, of Independence died Sunday, August 13, 2006, at North Oaks Medical Center. He was born May 16, 1926, in Independence, son of Josephine Maniglio Bonfiglio and the late Joseph Bonfiglio. He was a member of St. Joseph and St. Mary Society, and was a former custodian for Tangipahoa Parish School System. Surviving are his wife of 56 years Vita Lucito Bonfiglio; two daughters Dolores Navarre and Joyce Ballard and a son Salvador Bonfiglio; two sisters, Frances Faust, and JoAnn Miceli; two grandsons, Jules Navarre and Chance Hayden. He was preceded in death by a sister Virginia Nicolosi, and two brothers John and Frank Bonfiglio.
