"DUFFY" Former owner of the Ford automobile dealership in Hammond and a resident of Hammond, he died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2000, in Venice. He was 77 and a native of Bogalusa. He was a U.S. Navy Air Corps veteran of World War II. Visitation at First Presbyterian Church of Hammond, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Interment in Rose Memorial Cemetery. Survived by two daughters, Beth Ann Borden, Dallas, and Donna Gay Borden Anderson, Hammond; and five sisters, Barbara Hayden, Bogalusa, Anne Bryant, Hammond, Doris McElveen, Bogalusa, Margaret Baumkirschner, Hereford, Ariz., and Jill McDaniel, Baker. Preceded in death by his wife, Vonnie Haisty Borden; and parents, Lionel and Eldora Bennett Borden. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Hammond and Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity.
